ChickTech was founded in 2012 to engage women of all ages in the technology industry while working to create a better technology culture for all. We build communities, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in a rapidly growing industry. ChickTech has made a direct impact on tens of thousands of participants, including girls, women, and men.
ChickTech Bay Area is holding a two-day kickoff event for 100 high school girls on November 10 - 11, 2018. This event is a fun, positive learning experience designed to build participants’ confidence in their technical abilities, provide positive role models, and create connections with other young women from San Francisco and surrounding areas.
The workshop coordinator will work with the high school program committee to find and recruit workshop instructors for interesting technical topics for high school girls! Workshop instructors bring their own curriculum and teach a workshop on various topics in STEM. Some examples are Game Design/Development, Web Design/Development, Mobile Apps, and Soft Circuits.
The perfect candidate is passionate about empowering girls and women in technology, has great planning and coordination skills, and is able to make a commitment from now until the event ends on November 11, 2018. Tech skills are a plus but not necessarily required.
