Make a difference in the future of South San Francisco elementary students by teaching them economic success skills! During this exciting one-day event Buri Buri Elementary in South San Francisco, you get an opportunity to teach a class of young people all about financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship through a series of interactive, hands-on lessons. No prior teaching experience is required- we provide the training, materials and tools.

JA in a Day allows you (the volunteer) to teach our offered programs to a single class in one day with a commitment of only four and a half hours. This unique opportunity allows you to fulfill your community involvement needs, as well as inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) achieves this mission through teaching students about their expanding roles as individuals, consumers, employees, employers, and productive members of our society. Working in partnership with over 4,000 community and corporate volunteers, we provide empowering programs to K-12 students across 26 counties in Northern and Central California. JA's vision is to make a positive impact on the lives of all students in our operational area, and our efforts towards this ultimate goal are guided by these core values:
