Now is the time to stand with your refugee and immigrant neighbors. And one of the most powerful ways to show your support is by making sure that students from refugee and immigrant families have equal opportunity to achieve academic success as their peers. With just a one hour per week afternoon or evening commitment, you can make a meaningful impact in the life of an at-risk young person.
At the Youth Tutoring Program, we serve a diverse group of students, many who come from immigrant and refugee families. We need dedicated and caring tutors like you to tutor students 1:1 and foster meaningful mentoring and tutoring relationships. We focus on skill building so our students can catch-up and get ahead in school.
No teaching experience is necessary- not only do we train our volunteers to be effective tutors, we provide our volunteers with the tools they need (such as individualized tutor plans and skill-building activities) to make a difference! All you need to do is be compassionate, flexible, reliable, and willing to learn!
We need you now- School year tutoring begins Monday, September 18th!
