Safe Place Ambassadors are volunteers who are passionate about creating a world where all youth are safe. Ambassadors are committed to increasing awareness and education of the Safe Place program of Lighthouse Youth & Family Services in Hamilton, Butler, and Clermont counties. Ambassadors will educate local businesses and organizations about Safe Place and what to do if they're met with a youth in need of shelter through verbal communication and printed/digital materials, track and submit data, and provide feedback. Volunteers must be able to work independently, be highly self-motivated, and commit to six months of service.
Volunteers must be 21 or older.

Description
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services helps young people in need heal and grow.
Lighthouse offers an integrated system of care for youth ages 0-24, including emergency shelter, foster care and adoption, mental and behavioral health services, residential treatment., community juvenile justice services, youth housing, and OhioRISE, a specialized managed care program for youth with complex behavioral health and multisystem needs. The Lighthouse team meets the individual needs of each young person and focuses on their strengths as they work to meet their goals. Lighthouse provides inclusive and affirming care for all young people, and every young person and family are treated with dignity and respect.
Leading the effort to end youth homelessness in Cincinnati, Lighthouse is the only local organization focused on serving young people experiencing homelessness and provides Cincinnati’s first and only local emergency shelter for ages 10-17.
Every night, approximately 400 young people sleep under a Lighthouse roof.
