Aging Services Chore volunteers use basic skills and tools to fix minor problems in an older adult's home. Projects can range from installing safety rails, or fixing a dripping faucet, to screwing in light bulbs or replacing an outlet cover. Chore Services staff contact volunteers in advance to see if a project is of interest to you. Volunteers are welcome to accept or decline the project when it is proposed to them. Your handy work will help a senior to continue to live independently in their own home because we know there's no place like home!

Volunteers fill out an application, pass background checks, and must own some basic tools to participate. We will need you to be able to make simple repairs around the home of a client, adhere to the scope of work, and work with ASI staff to arrange for purchase of minor supply needs.

Volunteers are fully trained prior to their first home visit. Aging Services is a certified Service Enterprise agency...join our efforts and learn more about how we support our community as a team!
