Aging Services volunteer drivers transport older adults in our community to non-emergency medical appointments and take them out on errands to the bank, grocery stores, etc. This opportunity is Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Drivers choose when they want to volunteer their time to be available to provide rides, but are also paid 51 cents a mile for the service they provide. This service allows participants who can no longer drive to remain living independentlyin their own homes for as long as possible.
A valid driver's license and good driving record, ability to pass background checks, and willingness to attend a brief training session are necessary.
