PROVAIL, a leader in the field of supported services for children and adults with disabilities, is seeking a Donor Database Intern.
This position will be assisting in various projects assigned by the Development Coordinator to optimize PROVAIL’s donor database and ultimately improve the donor experience, with accurate, relevant information provided in the database.
Reports to: Development Coordinator
Hours: 10 hours per week, but can be flexible within established guidelines.
Term of Position: Requires a 12-week commitment and can be renewed based on mutual agreement.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with gift entry and new donor into PROVAIL’s currently donor database, Salesforce
- Researching missing or additional donor information
- Conducting weekly audits on database; monitoring duplicate profiles, accurate donation entries, etc.
- Digitizing donation records
- Mailing out donation receipts and acknowledgement letters to donors
- Compiling donor reports as needed
Compensation: This is an unpaid position, however, this opportunity provides the following benefits:
- Academic Credit: If available through your college/university, PROVAIL will complete any necessary forms to demonstrate eligibility.
- Inside look and active involvement in non-profit development; particularly with donor engagement and stewardship
- Solid resume builder and future employment reference.
- Training provided by the Development Coordinator on how to use Salesforce and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office products and conducting basic internet research
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize projects and assignments to meet deadlines.
- Prior data entry experience preferred, but not required
- Committed to supporting PROVAIL’s mission and clients
