DAY SHELTER "WELLNESS PROGRAM" OPPORTUNITIES BEGINNING NOVEMBER 2017!
Father Woody's Haven of Hope is a day shelter that serves the homeless & indigent in Denver. A recent expansion has allowed our Wellness Program to expand as well. In mid-November we will re-open our Wellness Program with a new, larger space! More services and classes!
We invite practitioners and teachers interested in donating a bit of time to share their valuable art with a population for whom these oportunities are often out of reach. You are invited to be creative, "think outside of the box" and tailor your service to this population.
We are excited to be working with Yoga for the People, a group of volunteer Yoga teachers!
"As a massage therapist, I've seen first-hand the effects nurturing massage can do for someone who lives on the streets. They feel like "themselves" again. A glazed over look turns to a smile, relief and gratefulness. I've been offering chair massage at Father Woody's for almost 7 years, the experience has been amazing." ~Kathleen, CMT
Father Woody's Haven of Hope is located at 7 th Ave and Lipan St.
