My name is Lori Case and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Heartland Hospice and we are looking for friendly volunteers to join our team and visit Hospice patients. We offer finger printing, 2 step TB testing, background check and training. Our volunteers are an intricate part of our program. Once your training is complete your schedule is very flexible. We strive to see patients once a week. Volunteering for Hospice is so rewarding and benefits everyone. Families embrace the support from volunteers just there to offer a friendly visit, whether they like to watch TV, talk, be read to, take a walk or singing. the possibilities are endless. If you have any questions or would like to know more about our program please contact me at

Description
Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on an alert, pain-free life and to manage other symptoms so that the last days may be spent with dignity and quality at home or in a home-like setting. It is the goal of Heartland Hospice to provide palliative and supportive services to meet physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs to the patients and caregivers in the home, health care facilities, or other residential settings. These services will be provided without regard to race, religion, gender, creed, sex or ability to pay.
