The YWCA Dayton is seeking an Events & Communications Administrative Volunteer to assist our staff in sorting, cataloguing, and storing our archive files related to events and public relations. This person will report directly to the Director, Marketing and Communications, and also work closely with other YWCA Dayton staff and volunteers.
DURATION:
Available immediately and ongoing until project is completed.
HOURS:
~2-4 hours per week. Schedule negotiable and flexible.
COMPENSATION:
Internship position is not compensated. Intern may be eligible for college credits.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and sort agency files, historic documents, past publications, etc.
- Catalogue relevant information and data
- Prepare files for permanent storage and organize agency archives
SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must have ability to work independently as well as in partnership with a team
- Must be able to define and work to deadlines
- Must respect confidentiality and sensitive nature of agency documents
