Volunteers Needed at PuppyUP Fredericksburg

PuppyUp Fredericksburg is a 2.0 mile walk to raise awareness and money for Canine Cancer Research.

We need volunteers to register walkers, set up water stations, help vendors set up, and other duties as needed.

If you would like to help with finding sponsors and setting up the walk, please let me know. I have several positions open.

I need people to help with the following also:

Volunteer Coordinator - Brings people to the committee and is responsible for securing and assigning positions for day-of-event volunteers.

Team Coordinator - Recruits teams. Provides information to the Puppy Up! Team Captains, including logistical and event information.

Public Relations - Establishes relationships with local media outlets, including providing them with story pitches, event information, etc.

Survivor Coordinator - Finds a canine and human cancer survivor to honor at the Puppy Up! Walk. Develops recognition activities for the survivors.

Sponsorship Coordinator - Recruits pet-related sponsors as well as reaching out to human cancer organizations for sponsorships and participation. Ensures sponsors receive amenities promised in the sponsorship packet. Builds ongoing relationships with sponsors.

Logistics - Responsible for all logistical elements of the Puppy Up! Walk, including site selection, water stations, port-a-potties, doggie clean up, etc.

Entertainment - Develops and coordinates day-of- event activities and/or vendors for canine and human participants.
