SeaGate Food Bank's NO SHOW GALA is a major annual fundraiser, but essentially a "non event". Supporters will be encouraged to do whatever they want on the evening of April 21, 2018. Read a book, watch TV, go out to dinner, play with the kids, etc. Concept is that instead of spending money on a new dress, renting a tux, and paying for a fabulous meal with wine, simply buy some NO SHOW GALA tickets. There will be a mailing to about 5,000 encouraging support. Tickets will be $25 each, 3 for $50 and 7 for $100. The drawing for fabulous prizes will be held on April 21 and winners notified the following week.
Volunteers are needed immediately to help solicit entertainment venues, restaurants, retailers, car dealers, etc. to secure valuable prizes. (Gift certificates, clothing, car lease, etc.) Materials will be provided for in-person presentations and/or a phone list of potential donors.
Beginning about March 1, 2018 volunteers will be needed to help sell tickets to the general public.
All funds will go 100% to SeaGate Food Bank for local programs to help eradicate hunger. Additional details will be available soon at seagatefoodbank.org.
