CitySquare Denver is hosting a Winter Preparedness Event on October 30th at our location to help those in need with winter clothing, hygiene items, haircuts, and other items for the upcoming winter months.
We are currently seeking Volunteers to take on duties that may include helping give away clothing and hygiene products; signing up people for haircuts; light cleaning during event; making coffee and restocking snacks.
Those interested in helping during this event we offer two shifts from 10:00am-12pm & 12pm-2pm or 4 hour shifts from 10am-2pm. *Please also be sure to complete a simple volunteer application using the link below & and arrive 15 mins before your shift for a brief meeting.
There is also free two hour parking in the front of our building at 2575 S. Broadway Denver CO, 80206 and untimed street parking in the nearby areas.

Description
Since 1988, CitySquare has addressed the causes and effects of poverty by working together with the people we serve, known to us as neighbors. CitySquare fights poverty through service, advocacy and friendship, with 14 unique programs that address hunger, health, housing, and hope-benefitting at-risk youth, working poor families, and the homeless. According to Charity Navigator (http://www.charitynavigator.org), 88.6% of our total expenses are spent on the programs and services we deliver. Originally started as the Central Dallas Food Pantry, CitySquare has grown to be one of the largest, most effective social services organizations in Texas, serving more than 50,000 unduplicated neighbors each year and branching out to serve the urban poor across Texas, and now in Denver.
We operate out of our Denver Community Center at 2575 S. Broadway and will be reopening our doors in April. Stay tuned for program information and opportunities.
