Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is looking for volunteers interested / experienced in painting furniture. We are a distributor of Fusion Mineral Paints. They come in really fun colors and are easy to use. We want to show our customers examples of how you can transform furniture with the paint!
We supply the furniture and supplies, you supply the skill and time!
We are looking for volunteers who can give a couple hours of their time and their painting skills! Days / times are flexible. Contact us for more information!
Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles has been providing high quality, low priced furniture and collectibles to the Bay Area for almost 30 years. We have been voted "Best of the East Bay" 7 years in a row!
UFC is an economic development institution of the non-profit organization, the African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF.org). All proceeds raised above our operating expenses go to support programs defending the civil and human rights of the African community and bridging the grave disparities faced by the Black community in health, healthcare, economic development and education. That’s why we say that Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is driven by African self-determination!

Description
Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
