We are looking for talents ladies and gentlemen who can STEP and who also have hip-hop dance experience (ages 18-older) from New York City to pledge Nu Sigma Theta, an organization formed for social networking, mentoring, service and professional development. You will be primarily responsible for developing our competitive step team, but you will also participate in our social networking and community service activities. NJ candidates who can travel to NYC are also welcomed.
Our fraternal organization is growing and does very well at community service. We are now looking to augment our professional development and social networking components and our STEP/DANCE team will be a major part of that effort. You will represent Nu Sigma Theta at local and national competitions and events and will also work to mentor younger step and dance teams that are part of our sister organization - the SoulDeevas.
Each month, we send out a "Community Service Planner" with a list of projects and service/social activities that we will do for that month. You do the projects that you are most interested in and/or that you have time to do. Once the team forms, you will decide on the day/frequency that you will meet to practice. When possible, you will also workout with our sister organization's high school step/dance teams.
Candidates must have an email address that is checked at least monthly. Candidates who have stepped and/or participated in hip-hop dance teams before are highly preferred; however, those who have rhythm and believe they can learn fast are also challenged to apply. A SENSE OF HUMOR IS A MUST for this organization that is multi-cultural and multi-generational.

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
