ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana

Future Science and Technology Leaders
You can help girls and young women discover the excitement of science and technology.

FIRST LEGO League is a STEM-based program that engages children in playful and meaningful learning while helping them discover the fun of science, technology and robots! The FIRST LEGO League teams are comprised of student teams ages 9-14 who choose a real world problem to research and develop a solution by designing, building and programming an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS that will compete against others on a table-top playing field to solve a set of missions in Robot Game.

Judges will score teams on Core Values, Project and Robot Design. Judges are required to get certified online (available 24/7) so they are consistent in practice and act as role models to the teams at the event.
