A little of your time can change one's life forever. Please come and read with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students who can benefit from one-on-one reading. Volunteers come twice a week for an hour each day. During this time you will work with two students for 1/2 an hour each. Our schedule is 10:00-11:00 or 11:00-12:00 Mondays & Thursdays or Tuesdays & Fridays. Students struggling to read benefit greatly from one-on-one reading and support. They gain confidence in their reading skills, comprehension, and a desire to read. A background check is required, but we cover the costs.
Our teachers have seen their students excel in this program and have chosen students to participate. However, without more volunteers, we are not able to serve them all.

Read. Graduate. Succeed. provides schools with AmeriCorps members who recruit, train, schedule and monitor volunteers to individually tutor students who have been identified as needing extra help in reading by their classroom teachers and principals.
