About MENTORPRIZE INCORPORATED

Location:

2201 Wisconsin Ave #200, Washington, DC 20007, US

Mission Statement

MentorPrize aims to mitigate the chronic shortage of mentors in the D.C. area so that children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds get the emotional, academic and/or professional support everyone deserves. We recruit mentors and place them with local mentoring programs that serve a wide range of constituents -- from homeless kids to teenage parents to first generation college students.

Description

While numerous non-profit organizations run mentoring programs, many of them struggle to keep up with the demand for mentors. We aim to fill that void.

MentorPrize recruits quality mentors for non-profit organizations in the Greater Washington, D.C. area and advocates for more and better mentoring programs. We believe our communities flourish when people connect through meaningful relationships bound by mutual respect and shared goals.
