Art Sparks volunteers help support visitors as they learn about art through various hands on exhibits in the Speed’s newly renovated intergenerational gallery. These exhibits encourage visitors of all ages to explore, discuss, and create art. Volunteers are primarily responsible for welcoming visitors into the interactive area and directing them to appropriate activities, supporting visitor learning through familiarity with the function and purpose of Art Sparks, and supporting Art Sparks staff by assisting with set-up and exhibit upkeep.
Ideal Art Sparks volunteers enjoy working with families, students, and visitors of all ages. Flexibility in willingness to assist with tasks such as cleaning, cutting paper, or organizing materials is necessary. Ability to work in both a slow-paced and fast-paced environment is essential. Art Sparks volunteer are motivated self-starters and must be punctual and reliable.
