ORGANIZATION: The San Diego River Park Foundation

Join the San Diego River Park Foundation for a special Clean & Green event, sponsored by Financial Partners Credit Union!

YOU and over 200 volunteers will work together in one huge community event at the Mission Valley Preserve, a 52-acre wildlife preserve right in San Diego! Volunteer work will help to beautify this urban wildlife preserve and care for native habitat, keeping the area clean and safe for visitors and the native animal species that call our River home. All ages welcome!

Volunteer tasks will be assigned at the beginning of the event and include:
* Painting out graffiti
* Weeding trails
* Removing invasive plant species
* Repairing damaged trails
* Trimming back overgrown plants
* And more!

Some tasks will be best suited to children and those requesting 'light’ work, while others will be a bit more physical. All tools and supplies are provided. Community service hours can be verified for those that need them. Be sure to dress in clothes that can get a little dirty and wear closed shoes, no sandals or flip-flops allowed for safety reasons.

RSVP required: call 619.297.7380 or email volunteer@sandiegoriver.org.
