Northrop Grumman Science on a Sphere
Science On a Sphere® (SOS), the centerpiece of the Northrop Grumman Science Center, was developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The world's first dynamic spherical projection system, SOS uses special software, satellite imagery and four projectors to render images onto the global surface that provide dramatic, full-motion views of the Earth, Sun, moons and planets in space

The Virtual Volunteer Team for the Space Foundation; HOW does it work?

We will share up to 4-5 pieces of information on anything pertinent the Space Foundation team would like to share to the masses via social media, email and verbal communications. Information such as details and invites to our events, space news articles, program information, details and invites, donor opportunities, website links to a plethora of Space Foundation and the Space Foundation Discovery Center activity. We will share 4-5 "highlights" each week and in turn, the volunteer may choose to share all of the highlights on their social media, email, or even just verbalize to their colleagues and friends and family. Please feel free to join our social media pages also. The virtual volunteer may choose to share all 4-5 links, or choose, 1,2, or just 3 of the links to share. Whatever you think may be pertinent and interesting to your colleagues and inner circle. We want you to be able to choose what you feel would be helpful, make and impact, or may even add value to yourself, and your colleagues who are passionate about space.

The Impact and Value of this Virtual Volunteer Opportunity:
*Drive Awareness about the importance of the Space Foundation's mission, programs, events and industry news
*Expand the outreach and impact of the Space Foundation - digitally
*Introduce others to our programs and our mission, and vision
*Connect us with other space enthusiasts, and potential donors
*Share the wonders and excitement of space
*Volunteers will find value and time well spent with this e-volunteer opportunity by sharing their passion, whether it is education, advocacy, or the wonders of space with others.

Virtual Volunteers will need to do a background check with the cost at $14. We also ask that there is no inclusion of political or religious opinions, or affiliations associated with the posts or information shared.

Description

The United States Space Foundation (Foundation), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1983, has re-focused and energized its mission and goals under new leadership since 1997. While other organizations focus on classroom activities for children or curriculum development, the Foundation Education Team‚s core competency is professional development for kindergarten through twelfth grade (K-12) teachers. The Foundation formed strategic partnerships and alliances with these organizations and with others in the pre-college and higher educational community, government and industry in order to help achieve the education mission.
