About
The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation for cancer patients to and from cancer-related medical appointments. For this program to be successful, we need both volunteer drivers and coordinators.
The American Cancer Society needs a Road To Recovery volunteer coordinator.
Coordinators are critical to the Road To Recovery program. They receive ride requests from ACS and share those requests with local volunteer drivers. Coordinators also notify ACS on the status of each ride request. In addition, coordinators help with local volunteer recruitment, program promotion, and volunteer recognition.
Coordinators must:
- Use email and check it regularly
- Be detail-oriented
- Have good communication skills
- Complete an initial training and update training every 2 years
- Pass background checks
