White Horse Youth Ranch is hosting its Second Annual Equine & Wine dinner and wine tasting event to benefit the Diamonds in the Rough youth equine education program for Las Vegas area socially-challenged children.

With WHY Ranch Administrative staff and committee, establish fundraising goal for silent auction, determine the appropriate theme and donation items for the silent auction, recruit volunteers to committee and for day of event, secure the auction items, and prepare the descriptions of the items.

Auction Committee Duties

• Assist with volunteer recruiting for committee and day of event
• Identify individuals and corporations willing to donate silent auction items (e.g. experiences, services, packages, merchandise)
• Solicit individuals and businesses to donate items to the silent auctions
• Submit appropriate donation forms for solicited items
• Will arrange pick-up/delivery of auction items to WHY Ranch on date of event or before
• Communicate updates with the Event Chair
• Prepare display of auction items and assist with silent auction set up on event day
• Create bid sheets for each silent auction item and appropriate signage
• Assist with selling tables/individual tickets
• Work with Hospitality/Entertainment Committee for day-of support (set up, spotters, check out)
• Create check-out process - cash/check, credit card, etc., with receipts given at check-out
