Help make the holidays a little merrier for children in our community!
Volunteers are needed to help with the Harborview Children's Holiday Party. This year's party will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9th at the Yelser Community Center. Last year over 600 children attended the event and had a great time. The success of this event is largely due to the support and dedication of our volunteers.

The following volunteer opportunities are available:

Friday, Dec. 8th, Set up Day:
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Assemble gift bags and decorate party route
5:00 pm -7:00 pm - Assemble gift bags and decorate party route

Saturday, Dec. 9th, Event Day:
7:30 am - 10:00 am - Pre-party logistics - put up directional signs, assist with set up of party venue
9:00 am - 12 :00 pm Party logistics - welcome guests, direct children to activities, hand out stickers, traffic flow, help with safety fair, gift distribution etc.
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm - Clean up and pack up supplies

We are also looking for volunteers that would be willing to dress in costume to chat and have their photos taken with the children at the party. (costumes provided)

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Harborview Volunteer Services at hmcvol@uw.edu or 206-744-3547. Please indicate your shift preference and if you'd like to be a costumed volunteer. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts.

This leadership role is nurtured through the delivery of health services of the highest quality to all of its patients and through effective use of its resources as determined by the Harborview Board of Trustees.

Description

Harborview Medical Center is owned by King County, governed by a county-appointed board of trustees and managed by the University of Washington. UW Medicine physicians, staff and other healthcare professionals based at Harborview serve patients from all walks of life in world-class centers of emphasis and also serve a mission population for King County.

Harborview is the only designated Level I adult and pediatric trauma and burn center in the state of Washington and serves as the regional trauma and burn referral center for Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
