The Pittsburgh Ride to Rescue program of Animal Lifeline PA is looking for dedicated, compassionate and caring individuals who love animals and want to make a large life saving impact for animals in need. If you have time or talents to donate, we would love to have you on our team.
By providing free transport to the animals from overcrowded and underfunded shelters, we provide breathing room to the shelters and staff for better care and morale as well as provide safety and a much needed second chance to good adoptable animals that are at immediate risk of euthanasia.
Our team also provides relief and transport to animals that are affected by natural disasters as well as assist law enforcement with cruelty and neglect cases.
Our normal transport is from 1 to 3 days in length and we do not require a specific number of hours each week or month. Our volunteers help out as they are able. We provide the transport vehicle, hotel rooms if needed, food, gas and expenses.
Volunteer drivers must be over 25 and have a good driving record.
We are always in need of volunteers for events, outreach and some upcoming programs so please let us know if you are able to help in any way. We would love to have you on our team.

We are a non-profit 501c3 organization providing solutions to animals in need of a second chance. Our Ride To Rescue program, made up of dedicated volunteers, provides free transport to at-risk animals from overcrowded shelters, disaster relief and animal cruelty situations.
