Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers, is a 123-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services which significantly improve the lives of 15,000 people in need each year on the East Side of Manhattan. Our Second Sundays is a monthly performance series for all ages that offers presentations by professional music, dance and theater groups. The Second Sundays assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Greet audience members upon arrival;
  • Check in audience members;
  • Distribute information about performances to audience members;
  • Collect money that is given via suggested donation;

Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
