Concessions For The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler
ORGANIZATION: Dragon Productions Theatre Company
Please visit the new page to apply.
A Hospitality Volunteer is in charge of setting up concessions and the lobby an hour before the show, selling concessions before and during intermission of the show, and closing up concessions and the lobby after the show. We're looking for at least one volunteer for each performance, two if possible. The second can assist with ushering and/or keeping the traffic flowing at the concessions counter.
All Volunteers are required to arrive an hour and fifteen minutes before the show starts and have all volunteer duties completed before leaving. If you have never volunteered for Dragon Theatre before, there is a short training session that will require you to arrive 15 min early to your first shift. A checklist of what you will be doing can be found here. Hospitality Volunteers will have a seat reserved for the night they volunteer so they can enjoy the show for free (subject to availability).
About The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabbler
This comedy picks up immediately after the events of the Ibsen classic. Hedda finds herself in fictional character purgatory with child-murdering Medea and Mammy (from Gone with the Wind). They set off to find The Furnace, the place from which all fictional characters are born, because Hedda is determined to break her cycle of dramatic suicide. Along the way they meet all kinds of fictional stereotypes and learn that with change comes sacrifice.
