Help us share good news with seniors, their loved ones, and the community! At the beginning of each month the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. distributes its newsletter/newspaper, "The Source for Seniors" throughout Union and Snyder counties. The newsletter is an important source of information and activities for older adults, their caregivers, and those in the community who are interested in valuable and trusted resources for older adults. In order to get "The Source for Seniors" to the public, we need a volunteer driver who (with their own vehicle) is willing to pick up the newsletters at the Standard Journal in Milton and deliver them to designated drop-off sites. A set mileage rate is offered. This is a great opportunity to take one day a month to positively impact the lives thousands of seniors.
Must have a current PA driver's license, a clear driving record, and a current/clear PA criminal background check.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to ensure the rights of older adults within Union & Snyder counties to live independent, meaningful, and dignified lives in their own homes and communities, make informed decisions concerning their care, and stay active and productive for as long as possible.
Description
The Union-Snyder Area Agency on Aging began in June 1974 as a two-county public agency under the direct control of the Union and Snyder County Boards of Commissioners. Since that time, it has served as the primary agency for developing and providing services for persons sixty and over in Union and Snyder counties.
In September, of 2003, the two Boards of Commissioners asked the Pennsylvania Department of Aging to consider the redesignation of the public AAA to a new private, not-for-profit board. The major reasons for this request were to expand community involvement on all levels and allow the agency to access additional funding sources.
In March 2004, after two public hearings and other fact-finding efforts, the Secretary of Aging approved the request. Beginning July 1, 2004, the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. became one of 17 private not-for-profit Area Agencies on Aging in Pennsylvania.
