A 69 year old woman is looking for someone to help her with her laundry every week for two hours. She enjoys playing cards and would like to do so with the volunteer while they’re waiting on the loads to finish.
She has lost the ability to speak and communicates through writing. She also doesn’t show emotion, a symptom of her bipolar disorder. The best volunteer for her would be someone who is comfortable with silence.
If you think you can help this woman, we want to hear from you. This opportunity is part of our family assistance program. Find out why this program rocks and how you can be a part of it by visiting our website [tinyurl.com/ALS-FAP].
