The Refugee & Immigrant Services & Empowerment (RISE) division of the Kansas City Public Library is seeking volunteers to lead small life skills-based classes of English Language learners in basic English speaking, writing, and reading skills. Classes are currently being held at the North-East Branch (6000 Wilson Rd) on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00-11:30 am and Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30 pm, at the Northeast Middle School (4904 Independence Ave) on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00 pm.
