The Michigan Region of the American Red Cross is currently inviting Americorps members to join our efforts to alleviate human suffering and to rally the support of volunteers in preparing communities to respond to disasters. We are recruiting for opportunities in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Flint, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor and Traverse City. Americorps members first apply at My.americorps.gov, and have to meet eligibility requirements. Once registered, individuals can express interest in our Michigan Red Cross opportunities directly through the My.Americorps.Gov site or by responding to this posting.
Americorps members receive a living allowance and may be eligible for an education award upon completion of one year and a minimum of 1,700 hours of service. The civic engagement and service elements of Americorps are inspiring and the Red Cross mission connects members in a deep and meaningful way to what it means to truly contribute to society and help those in need when they are at their most vulnerable.
