We are looking for a volunteer to come to the American Red Cross office in Chicago, IL to assist with the Restoring Family Links (RFL) Program. The RFL program works to reconnect families separated internationally due to natural disaster, migration, armed conflict or other humanitarian crises. The volunteer will act as a helpline caseworker, gradually building skills toward working with RFL clients over the phone to address their needs.
We are looking for a volunteer to begin as soon as possible through the end of January. If you are interested please send an email with your resume and availability to Liz Corrigan at liz.corrigan2@redcross.org.

Description
The American Red Cross helps reconnect loved ones separated internationally when:
- Families have been separated internationally as a result of conflict, disaster, migration or other humanitarian emergency.
- Families have tried normal channels of communication to reconnect.
- The family member making the inquiry is able to provide essential information on the sought person.
- The family member making the inquiry is a relative, who had been in direct contact with the sought person before the crisis occurred.
