ORGANIZATION: URBAN CITY FRESH CO

Are you a CFO, or close to being a CFO and could use some volunteer experience to round out your resume?

We'd welcome your expertise. Our organization seeks to connect all of the elements of the food system/cycle to urban communities. All too often, communities are denied access to fresh food. We seek to address this on multiple fronts: from increasing food literacy to growing the relationship between local/regional growers, urban farmers, schools, small markets, grocers, convenience stores, and community residents.

We've taken steps already. Our founder Chef Lara teaches food literacy classes throughout Atlanta and we have detailed plans to grow and diversify our offerings.

That's where you come in. As CFO, you'd oversee all of our financials, including budgets, annual reports, self-audits, banking and our relationships with banking institutions. You'll help our grant writer by providing financial information for grants they are pursuing and assist the CEO with revenue and budget projections. In a nutshell, you'll act as our overall financial advisor.

The time commitment will be driven by you. We have a (virtual) meeting once a month, but other than that we will rely on you to put in the work when you can. It would be great if you lived in Atlanta, but it isn't a requirement.

Thanks for your time, we look forward to hearing from you!
