ProHealth hospice is seeking caregiver relief volunteers for a patient in Carmichael, CA (as needed)
Being the primary caretaker for a terminally ill patient can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Caregivers often lack the opportunity to tend to matters outside of the home (such as time to shop for groceries, attend medical appointments and or have personal time, etc.)
What you'll do:
Provide a much needed break to a private caregiver who has a pre-scheduled appointment and or other business outside of the home.
The relief sitting visits will be scheduled in advance. Visit hours to be discussed with the volunteer and client.
Volunteer requirements:
- 21 years or older
- Must receive a TB test or Chest X-ray (paid for by ProHealth)
- Must receive a drug screen (paid for by ProHealth)
- Completion of a volunteer orientation (online using your own computer or device)
