The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
You spend one hour a week. It is very flexible, no set days. You go when it is convenient for you.
Let me share my last visit at the Mason location. It was with a lady who truly wants a volunteer! She lives in the Memory Care section of the community (building). She loves the sunshine!! She simply cannot get enough of being outside. She simply wants someone to take her outside and sit and talk with her. She raises her head to the sun and just gives a smile that covers her entire face!!
Isn't that a great way to volunteer, give back, make a friend?
We also have locations in Kenwood, Deer Park, Springdale and Finneytown if these are closer to your home!
Please consider Brookdale Hospice. We do require fingerprints and urine drug screen; but we pay for everything! It's really not a hard process.
I hope to hear from you and hope you will join our fabulous team of caring and compassionate individuals.
