The time and talents of many enable this gentle ministry to exist. Thus, volunteers are our greatest resource. We welcome interested persons from the Rochester area to this interfaith community of service. The opportunity to share another's precious days of living while dying is indeed a privilege and a blessing. Orientation and training will be provided and is supplemented with periodic inservice education.

Mission Statement
The mission of Isaiah House, a home for the dying, is to provide residence for persons with any irreversible illness who have been determined by the Organization’s Medical Director to be within the last three (3) months of their lives. The Organization is committed to offering a safe, warm, welcoming and compassionate atmosphere to people from all walks of life without influence of race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or economic status. Isaiah House’s priority is to individuals with greatest needs and fewest options or resources. This may include but is not limited to, physical, special, spiritual, and emotional needs.
Description
We offer residence to persons with irreversible illness who have been determined to be within the last three months of their lives. Hospitality and comfort are rendered in cooperation with a certified home health agency and the resident's physician. We can serve two residents at a time in our house. Our commitment flows from a belief in the dignity and value of every person. We welcome everyone with the same unconditional love.
The time and talents of many enable this gentle ministry to exist. Thus, volunteers are our greatest resource. The opportunity to share another's precious days of living while dying is indeed a privilege and a blessing.
Isaiah House charges no fee. We rely on the generosity of those we touch - the friends, family, and loved ones of those who we have helped during their final journey - through memorial donations, estate planning, and more.
Since our founding in 1987, we have brought dignity and love to all who have passed through our doors. But we must continue to reach out to our community so that we can help others in need. We welcome interested persons from the Rochester area to this interfaith community of service.
