Potential Volunteers are trained to become Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASAs, for foster care children in Howard County Maryland. Thirty hours of training are provided and required. Training is held on Monday evenings for 7 weeks. Volunteers will complete their training by attending a juvenile court hearing.

As a member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program, our mission is to ensure that abused and neglected children are placed in safe, permanent homes.
Description
Voices for Children trains and supervises volunteers as court advocates for abused, neglected and at risk youth in Howard County Maryland. Volunteers provide background information and recommendations to the court on behalf of a child. They also provide needed emotional support for these children.
