Each year in Howard County Maryland, children are abused and neglected or abandoned by their families. These children are removed from their homes and placed in foster care or institutions. That's where Voices for Children CASA volunteers come in. Our CASA volunteers work to ensure that all children have a safe and permanent home.
Training will begin June 3, 2023 . A combination of in-person and virtual training focuses on the dynamics of child abuse and neglect, an understanding of the court process and familiarity with community resources. After completion of training and background checks, volunteers are assigned a child through the court system.
If you are interested in joining the May class, please complete our application at https://voicesforchildren.org/volunteer/.
