Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time to The Children’s Movement of Florida. We are a non-profit, non-partisan political advocacy organization focused on convincing the state to increase its investment in the first five years of all our children. We look forward to you helping us with our outreach and engagement events, which are key to sustaining our movement.

Your activities as a volunteer will support our 2017 priority agenda by:

· Taking notes during our events.

· Helping support our Boards of Advisers.

· Taking event photographs for our website.

· Networking with influential community members about CMF priority issues.

· Being a part of our Legislative Engagement events and our Movement Dinners.

Volunteer activities typically can last two hours or more, but we are happy to accommodate your schedule. We also will provide you with all the information needed through an email before the event.

Mission Statement

The Children’s Movement of Florida is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization that is focused on making Florida the best state in the nation for children between the ages of 0-5.

Description

We are citizens who have set out to make Florida the best state in the nation for young children, and believe that investment, especially in the early learning years, should be at the forefront of state priorities.

The Children’s Movement is built upon the voices of hundreds of thousands of Floridians, knowing that the wisest path to success and well-being for our children and our state is to invest in our youngest. The path to success is built on three prongs: (1) A strong effort to build community support through grassroots organizing; (2) A far-reaching communication strategy to spread the message of early investment; and (3) A coordinated approach to engaging high-level business, political and community leaders.
