Tender Care Village volunteers may volunteer for many different services for our members.
Transportation: Grocery store, Doctors' office visits, church, social visits, every day errands, etc.
Handy Helper: Changing light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, hanging pictures, climbing ladders', raking leaves, snow shoveling, simple basic home repairs, etc.
Friendly Visitor: Visiting with members, daily check ins, walks, meet for coffee or other social events, help with holiday decorating or play a game of cards, etc.
Technology and Technical Support: Assistance with cell phones, setting up computer and/or printer, troubleshooting computer issues, television or recording problems, etc.
Convenience Services: Running errands, mailing packages, picking up mail or newspaper, temporary pet care, (walking, feeding, ride to the veterinarian or groomer) watering indoor/outdoor plants, etc.
After volunteers are trained and vetted, they simply check their email weekly and sign up for whatever service they would enjoy providing. Volunteers make their own schedule and choose only those services they wish to provide.
Volunteers are the heart of Tender Care Village, we intend on making this volunteer opportunity a wonderful experience for both the volunteer as well as for our Tender Care Village members.

Mission Statement
Tender Care Village's mission is to enable as many Tri-Cities area residents as possible to age at home comfortably, safely, independently and with peace of mind through a membership-based organization offering access to comprehensive practical services and fostering social support and a sense of community.
Description
Tender Care Village is an all volunteer based membership organization. The purpose of Tender Care Village is to provide services to it's members to make it possible for those 50 and older to stay in their own homes and remain actively involved in the community as they age. Tender Care Village volunteers provide a wide variety of non-medical services such as; transportation, small handyman chores, assistance with shopping, friendly visits or daily check in's, technology support, etc. Many members are also volunteers. All members and volunteers may attend monthly meetings and offer suggestions for services or social events. Tender Care Village will try and provide services and activities the members would like to have offered. Simply put, Tender Care Village is neighbors helping neighbors.
