THE RICHSTONE FAMILY CENTER and JETBLUE are building a new project!
We need more than 200 volunteers from the South Bay community to help our kids in Hawthorne the childhood they deserve by building a new playground.
- Volunteers should be over the age of 18 and will assemble playground pieces, mix concrete, move mulch, ect.
- We welcome volunteer groups of 10 or less people to help ensure there's enough space for all those who want to volunteer. Space is limited so sign up early!
- Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes; leave valuables at home.
- Gloves, googles, breakfast and lunch will be provided.
- Volunteers will be provided with a Build Day t-shirt which must be worn to gain access to Build Day activities.
Play is central to a child's ability to grow into a productive adult. Together, we can ensure kids get the balance of play they need to thrive! Please join us and show that play matters.

Mission Statement
Richstone Family Center was founded in 1973 to prevent and treat child abuse, to strengthen families, and to promote the non-violent resolution of conflicts in our families and our communities.
Description
We offer individual and group counseling, after-school programs, parenting classes, supervised visitation, home visits for young families, and residential transitional living for young women emancipated from foster care. In the local school districts our programs focus on community and school violence reduction/prevention, substance abuse prevention and crisis counseling. Many of our programs are bilingual (Spanish/English).
