VITAS Healthcare(r) is looking for volunteers who love to sew and want to share their skills with hospice patients and families.

A fidget Blanket will assist hospice patients with motor and sensory stimulation. The blankets reduce boredom and may help increase the patients attention spam. They feature zippers, ties, ribbon, buttons, snaps and different textures. something to challenge and entertain them. Other items that can keep the fingers busy can be added.

This is a great opportunity for you to give back to your community, use your creative skills, and strengthen your resume.

Description

Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare(r), providing friendly, non-medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteer for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in your community throughout Northern Virginia.
