Get outdoors! Get hungry!
Do you want to contribute your effort to a cause that's environmental and educational and health oriented and social? One making positive changes for the climate, the food system and the community? Do you want an opportunity to get some insight into how an organic farm works? Would you like to participate in what it really takes to get food on your table? Do you just love to get your hands dirty working outdoors?!
Volunteer opportunities abound at Moon In The Pond Farm! While there's always grunt work around the farm (weeding, composting, clearing, shoveling... manure, etc.), if you have specific skills you'd like to offer (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry)-either way, we can use your help.
If you simply want to put in a day as a one-off, or you want to commit to a regular weekly slot we can set something up for you-your help is valued.
Also, if you are interested in a part-time to full-time commitment to enhance your understanding and appreciation of food and nature and love hard, very physical work, outdoors, doing something worthwhile for the planet, we have internships available. Volunteering some hard work at Moon In The Pond also helps build homesteader, or 'part-time' or wannabe farmer’s skill and experience in a variety of areas. Check our webpage. Shoot us an email. Come join the farm party!

Mission Statement
Moon In The Pond is dedicated to increasing the understanding of the importance of sustainable local food systems and conducts a wide variety of educational programs within the setting of a working, diversified, artisanal farm. We work with individuals and groups to teach the value and cultural necessity of sustainable farming and vital rural agricultural communities. Moon In The Pond draws on traditional and modern knowledge and demonstrates the skills and techniques of ecological local food production.
Description
As a small, diverse, sustainable, permaculture farm dedicated to education, the relationship of people to nature is constantly explored in a myriad of ways that includes animals, crops, self-sufficiency, sustainability, permaculture, ecology, conservation of heirloom vegetable varieties and seeds, conservation of historic livestock, and traditional and modern farming techniques; all while working at filling the needs of today’s culture and society. We raise all heritage breed animals for meat (nearly ten thousand pounds annually) and only heirloom vegetables. We also produce eggs, honey, fruit and lots more. We sell our produce locally, directly to families, partly through our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture program) at the farm and at local farmers’ markets. 100% of the proceeds of all sales benefit our educational mission. Moon In the Pond operates as a non-profit educational organization registered in Massachusetts and accepts donations to support our work.
