ESOL

We host a thriving ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program on Monday nights from 7pm-8:15pm. Attendees are welcome to bring their children and volunteers are needed to help the children with homework and/or play games while parents are involved with ESOL lessons. No language skills are necessary. We follow the Loudoun County school calendar and do not meet if school is not in session. (No ESOL on October 23 or November 6).

You do not need to come every week. Volunteers should arrive by 6:45pm. The onsite contact is Dr. Roz Gann and she can be reached at rrgann@gmail.com.

Mission Statement

To Know and Share God's Love.

Description

At St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, we truly strive to meet our mission "to know and share God's love."

In this:

  • We aim to be relevant to today's world and to help people experience the love of God in their lives.
  • We provide countless opportunities for outreachand serving the poor and disenfranchised in our community.
  • We welcome people who are in every possible place in a spiritual journey - from those who are questioning if God even exists (or maybe are even sure He doesn't) to those who have had a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus for many years.

Anyone who is looking for the meaning of life, searching for understanding how God is at work in the world or in their lives, or is looking for a strong sense of community with people who just love being together should come to St. Matthew's.
