Boo Bash is a sensory-friendly event geared to provide children with special needs and their families a fun successful experience with Trick or Treating and attending a carnival in a safe, nurturing, environment.
Boo Bash Volunteers needed:
Decorate your vehicle and pass out treats to those practicing trick-or-treating!
By committing to volunteer and participate in this event you are helping give children and their families a safe and functional way to celebrate and practice the concept to help make actual trick or treating on Halloween a familiar experience.
Trunk or Treat Decorating Information:
1) Sign up must be submitted by October 20th. (One week prior to the event.)
2) Decorations must be kid friendly! Please do not use decorations that might scare our participants.
3) This is a sensory-friendly event, so please do not use loud music, strobe lights or treat bowls that participants cannot see inside.
4) You may use candy, but you must also provide NON-food treats for our children that have food allergies in a separate bowl! Participants will have stickers or some other identifying marker to notify you that they will need to choose from the allergen-free bowl.
5) Vehicles must be decorated and ready to go when the Trunk or Treat starts at 7:00 pm.
6) Cancellations: We have limited spots available, so if you need to cancel please give us AT LEAST 48 hours notice so we may try to find another contestant.
7) Prizes will be given to the top three decorated and innovative vehicles.

Description
Who Are We?
It’s a Sensory World! is a center that offers a variety of multi-sensory educational, recreational, and therapeutic services for children with special needs and their families. Our unique programs bridge the gap between therapy and mainstream education and recreation.
Why Are We Different?
When we first opened in October 2007, we were the only center offering services supplemental to therapy in North Texas and one of only two in the country. We are the only center where parent empowerment is a central part of our mission.
We are the only center in North Texas that offers these unique bridge programs all in one center.
We have a large therapeutic gym which is typically only found in a therapy setting. Our gym is unique because it is open to the public, and we use it to provide the students enrolled in our many programs with the intense sensory input they need.
We have a unique, child-centered approach which blends multiple disciplines, including speech and language, sensory integration, behavior modification and special education.
