Opportunity: Mentor

Program: Emerging Leaders Program I

Site Location: Alexandria

Number of volunteers needed: 10 per location

Time/Date: Saturdays, 9:30am - 12pm (Spring: Feb, 24th - Apr. 14th)

Mentors attend Saturday workshops of Edu-Futuro's Emerging Leaders Program I (ELP I) to help guide and support a "crew" of three to five 9th - 12th graders through our college preparation and career exploration workshop series. Mentors will attend workshops focused on resume building, interview skills, scholarship essay writing and speech presentations. At these workshops, mentors will provide individualized attention to their crew, which will allow for each student leader to be best prepared for their future after high school. Mentors also attend our program kick-off and graduation. For mentors who are interested, there is also the opportunity to co-facilitate workshops with topics that they feel passionately about. Mentors do not need to know a second language or speak Spanish to apply. Apply to be a mentor for Spring 2018 here https://tinyurl.com/y7qlyxgw
