El Cajon Elks Lodge
Launches New Community Haunted House for Halloween Fundraiser!
The El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812 is working with a local Haunted House Production Company "Scareventures", to present a Haunted Lodge for the community in their parking lot from October 26 th through 31 st. This will be one of the only Haunted Houses in San Diego’s East County, it represents an important charity fundraising effort where the Elks will contribute 100% of proceeds from the event for children’s charities as a part of their annual "Purple Pig" (or CHEMPI) and "Youth Charities" fundraising efforts.
The "Haunted Lodge" will feature a maze and four different key scare areas for guests to experience. The Maze experience will take about ten minutes to pass through and there will be activities and booths outside of the maze for guests to enjoy as they wait to go through.
There will also be early evening hours set aside for children under 12 to experience a less scary version of the haunted lodge that is family friendly for youngsters where they will be treated to Halloween candy from nicer monsters they encounter as a part of their tour through the Lodge maze.
The El Cajon Elks are a non-profit organization with over 1,600 members that supports numerous community charities including charities for children and the military. The Lodge in El Cajon is the largest in all of San Diego County and has been serving the region for over 60 years. They are located at 1400 E Washington Ave, El Cajon, CA 92019.More opportunities with BENEVOLENT & PROTECTIVE ORDER OF ELKS OF THE USA

Mission Statement
Elks Lodges bring so much more to their communities than just a building. They are places where neighbors come together, families share meals, and children grow up. Our Lodge is over 1600 members strong, and participate in youth events and charities, and bring betterment to the area of El Cajon.
Description
Our major projects benefit youth and veterans.
Through the The California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc., a committee of the California-Hawaii Elks Association, pledges its commitment to addressing the unmet needs of children with disabilities throughout the states of California and Hawaii by developing a program of supporting services to aid these children at no cost to the families and without discrimination."
The mission of the Elks National Foundation is to help Elks build stronger communities. We fulfill this pledge by investing in communities where Elks live and work. We help youth develop lifelong skills, send students to college, meet the needs of today's veterans, support the charitable work of the state Elks associations, and fund projects that improve the quality of life in local Elks communities.
Like all Elks, the Foundation values the belief that charity is the greatest of all virtues and that by sharing and giving, we have the power to replace sorrow and despair with hope and confidence. Donations to the Foundation help us fund programs that match our cornerstone values of knowledge, integrity and community.
