ORGANIZATION: Leelanau County

The Leelanau County Board of Commissioners is seeking a resident to serve a three-year term on the Land Bank Fast Track Authority Board.

A Land Bank Authority is a public authority created to efficiently acquire, hold, manage, and develop tax-foreclosed property, as well as other vacant, blighted, obsolete and abandoned properties. Among its functions, a Land Bank can help facilitate use and development of property, establish "clear title" on properties it acquires, borrow money, and issue tax-exempt financing. This Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 9:00 a.m. at the Leelanau County Government Center.
