Groovy glasses
Grandmother and granddaughter make groovy glasses craft at Toddler Time

Toddler Time is a fun and wonderful story time program on Wednesday mornings. The librarian develops the activities and stories for the day, and children have a fun time increasing their literacy skills through song, creativity, and play.

Waxahachie only offers PreK services to those that meet specific qualifications, which leaves many families looking for other sources of education to prepare their children for school. Story time is not only fun and engaging; it teaches motor skills needed for school, pre-literacy skills such as the A-B-C's and 1-2-3's.

This position is an assistant role, since the demand for story time at the library is so great. While the Librarian is requesting help for the program only, volunteers may also give time to help prepare crafts for the upcoming lesson. There are no out-of-pocket costs to the volunteer since all materials are provided by the library.

Sims Library invites you to be part of one of the silliest, smartest, and creative programs we offer Sept-May. Must be able to pass background check, and be 18 or older. Training and Orientation required to familiarize yourself with the staff and library.
