Together One New York (TONY) is starting a new program for Spanish classes. The opportunity will generally run on Monday to Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 PM.

Teachers are expected to volunteer in hour and a half increments from 6-7:30 or 7:30-9:00. As a teacher you will be responsible for compiling a lesson plan, but you are welcome to use our extensive teaching material to structure classes. Prior teaching experience is a plus, but certainly not required as we have many first time teachers who have come in and successfully led our classes.

TONY is a non-profit organization whose volunteers are passionate about providing vital resources to all members of the NYC community, with a special emphasis on immigrants and language learning. In addition to language classes, we offer a variety of programs such as Citizenship Prep, TASC (high school equivalency), and beginner ESOL conversation. We look forward to expanding our outreach and positively impacting a greater portion of our city's immigrant community.
